A PP Cavalry Unit that doesnt cost $100 USD for 5? Finally! I know that "warmahordes is a skirmish game so the cash to points ratio is high" but come on man what if you want to have 10-20 of these guys! |

I'm pretty sure that the 'Field Allowance' for those is not more than 2, so Privateer Press assumes that you're only going to have 2 units of 5 at the most. |

What if you're playing a 2 warcaster game? Besides PP is pushing towards larger games for some people with colossals and gargantuans |

Tauwarlord, I play *trolls*. 'Toughalloes' are monstrously expensive. I'd love to have some cheap light cav. Maybe Pygmy Trolls riding hogs? |

Should have be Xposted on the "18th C. Imagi-Nations' board (I'll do it somehow): with their tricornes they (like most Arcane Tempest Gun Mages) look more 'Lacepunk' link than 'Steampunk'. |

Besides PP is pushing towards larger games for some people with colossals and gargantuans That's not really the case – the big stuff works fine even at 35 points, which is a smallish single-caster game. They've changed the metagame by offering better focus/fury efficiency on more durable platforms than anything before, not simply by giving you more expensive models to keep figure count down in high-budget multicaster games. Nice to finally see some regular horses that aren't stuck with ridiculous looking armor. |

My old eyes cannot make it for sure: are one or two of the riders female? Some other ATGM packs are indeed 'mixed'. About their possible use in 'alternate 18th C.' games: TMP link |

OK this is fantasy but I still don't understand why they change the shapes of old clothes. Apparently the sculptor wanted to give a fantasy impression of historical uniforms
but still somewhat inspired by historical uniforms
? Hey, fantasy people have the right to wear historical clothing too. Real tricorns were not cut at the angles it's only the bending that gives this impression. These tricorns seem cut off at the angles. Why would fantasy soldiers want to cut the angles of their tricorns? They would do just as real historical people have done with their hats, bending them not cutting them. |

@Abdul: Yes, there are a couple female riders in that unit. Well, looks like ONE female model that is duplicated, actually. @Patrice: probably just a lazy sculptor, or one that didn't know any better. |

The original hat design sported giant shoulder pads, so they've actually toned down the fantasy on them here. ; ) |

Same 'problem' with the tricornes of some pirates, e.g. with 'Pirotess like'females such as the Freebooter one: link

Then the 'oddity' is barely noticeable when 28mm minis are seen en masse from some feet on the gaming table. (&, MBT figurines would be welcome for 'Lacepulp link . link / Lacepunk' link games, btw) |
