I just got my first LASER DREAM WORKS kit in the mail last night. I'm quite enthusiastic about this company. A twenty dollar kit, comes together in 30 minutes of gluing (that even a clumsy guy like me can master) and the result is a thing of beauty. Details are in the usual place: link Thanks for the interest. Walt |

That's a NICE model. I'll be interested to see what they can do with a greek galley. Might make a super display model. Doug |

Shouldn't "
and going a-raiding" been the rest of that topic header? That is great looking, I'd need 15mm for that period, but I am going to follow the company to see if a tramp steamer does become available in 28mm. I have this map to an island in the south Pacific, see

Thanks for the heads up on those Walt, they are really nice. And, I'll echo the OFM in saying the price for those sailing ships is pretty tempting. |

You know, I wonder what they could do for 1/300 galleys
I once thought about trying to work something up along the same lines – a layered building approach. Doug |

Inspired by this thread I bought two of these and color me impressed! Very easy to build and good looking to boot. Well designed and tight fitting. I've built two different plastic longships and these laser cut are better suited for wargaming (being waterline models) and have the added benefit of not needing to be painted (a two day job with the plastic). I could have had both these laser cut models on the table within two hours of them hitting my doorstep. I like the size as they don't take up much table space, though if you base your figures individually on 25mm squares on board space may be an issue. I didn't use the shields as they are oversized, but if you base on 20mm circles you get 20 'free' bases per model. Many thanks to the OP for bring these to my attention! |
