A recent post about Skytrex winding down took me back down memory lane…

Are there any OA's out there who remember the DC Wargaming Society? Tuesday lunchtimes at the Rotunda next to North Block? Airfix jerries and 8th Army? Hinchliffe Naps? The mega Leigzig game we put on for Founder's Day 1979?

I can't remember any names apart from Buffy Horwell, the Cadet Sgt who won a scholarship to Magdalen College, and knew everything there was to know about the Westfalian Corps in 1812…a thoroughly nice chap who inspired all us youngsters…
