For anyone who enjoys, like me, searching for interesting scenarios for their favourite periods, here is the link to a very good website belonging to the Miles Gloriosus wargames club based in Rome Italy. milesgloriosus.it Then go to 'scenari'and click. You will find 2 fictional battles and 1 historical the Battle of Castelfidardo 1860 between the papal states and Piemontese armies. There is also a very good step by step presentation of the battle, just click the yellow section. A brilliant victory of General Cialdini! I am convinced that if Cialdini was in command of the Italian forces in 1866 they would have won the battle of Custoza hands down. Merry Xmas Ernesto |

I think if anyone was in charge of the Italian forces they would have won! Command and Control can be a real downer and the lack of coordination between the two main groups lost the war for them. |

Great stuff. I have been putting together scenarios for Garibaldi. The difficult ones have been his battles with the Austrians. |
