"Source for 28mm domed display cases?" Topic

Good morning all,

I am trying to find a source for domed display cases that will do for 28mm figures, preferably in the UK but not fussed if outside of UK.

My Google-fu has failed me, so if anyone knows of a company making these I would very much appreciate a response.

Its the silly season again, and you will probably find a variety of plastic tree decorations in all sorts of shops.

For the last few years they have been selling vaguely spherical ones of transparent plastic anywhere from 2 inches (50mm) on up to over a foot (300mm) in diameter, which come apart into a pair of hemispheres, intended for you to paint the interior with your own artwork, or fill with goodies. The biggest ones may only be stocked by shop decoration suppliers, and there they go even bigger.

If you want a wooden base, just continue on down the road to the local hardware shop and pick up some suitably sized circular door bell/switch plate backers – some craft shops may even have round MDF ones near the decorations, intended for 'Folk Art' painters.

What size do you want, i have a few upto about 50mm that have been sitting in the garage for years

Just found this site a couple weeks ago so I have not ordered from them. They do look promising though.

Googled "domed display case" and clicked on the "Shopping" choice where I found dozens like this:

You just need to define what size you want.

I could have sworn that both The Container Store and Michael's carried them, but I don't see them in their on-line catalogs.
