I'm curious if anybody makes 28mm US Colored infantry. I know that I could use most of the regular US figures and just paint them with chocolate-brown skin and black hair, and nobody would care, but it does seem that most of the black troops were clean-shaven, and a lot of of the white guys preferred facial hair, and most of the figures I've seen reflect the latter.

So can anybody recommend some 28mm figures for US Colored Infantry?

Thanks. I'm not the biggest Old Glory fan. At least not their 1st edition figures. The 2nd edition ACW were very nice.

Anybody else got any?

Basically, any clean-shaven US regular troops would probably do.

There was really no 'clean shaven' standard for Regulars, at least not in the pics or memoirs I have seen and read. In practically every respect they looked just like everyone else.

I know. I just don't want a bunch of guys who look like ZZ Top in blackface.

"Perry have a pack of coloured heads"

Perfect! Thanks.

A 2nd for Dixon! How can anyone have an ACW collection without some DIXON thrown in for good measure!

Agreed, curly-hair blonde white guys, straight/curly hair black guys, all in America. I dont think you can go wrong.

Pick, choose, and have fun with it. I started ACW a few years ago and mix and match mine also, and among others I DO have Dixon Bracken thumbs up
