I ordered a large number of Demon World Bugs from the fine folks at Ral Partha Europe and they were kind enough to throw in a dozen of their new 1879 Victorian Alternative History infantry figures. These are in 1/100 scale or 15mm.

The troops are armed with Lee Metford rifles. These have a small optical sight on top of the weapon. All the figures have fixed their bayonets for close action.

Each of the figures is protected from the hazardous atmosphere of the battlefield (whether the black smoke of the Martian Invasion or the thin atmosphere of Mars itself) by a respirator mask.

The dozen figures I got are in six unique poses. One in an NCO pointing with one hand while holding his rifle with the other. He is well animated and looks the business!

The two standing figures, one firing and one with his rifle at the ready are also both excellent. The three advancing figures, two with their rifles on the shoulder and the third readying for the charge are also well executed.

I look forward to seeing this range expand in the future.

Nicely Done Ral Partha Europe

Interesting. RP in 15mm, it has been 40 years since RP did 15mm other than the TSR battlesystems.
I agree photos?

RPE posted some photos in a Hobby News announcement about a month or so ago if you want to try you hand at that….

There are some preview pics on our facebook page here- link
(including a cavalry conversion using a demonworld gargoyle mount). The first pack will have 12 different poses, then we plan to release packs with more of a standard rank and file content (an officer and multiples 2 or 3 poses). Once we started producing the Demonworld figures it seemed the logical step was to come up with figures that we could use with them :-)

Good use of that gargoyle. The world needs more xeno-cavalry of any type.

I really like the pose variety, and the fact that they are 18mm.

Agreed. I'm sure it was just a conversion for fun, but they would fit really nicely in this line. Would the Demonworld molds allow those gargoyle mounts to be cast and sold separately?
