A big accomplishment for considering that I'd painted 7 in my first two years of gaming.

Anyway, here's my blog post about my finished work, including a link to my progress posts and videos of the work as well.

While the work isn't tremendous, hopefully it will inspires some fellow gamers to crank out some work:

Your buildings look good but have you ever thought of using Paper buildings and terrain?

Some paper buildings look very realistic and I've found I can put together about half-a-dozen buildings in an afternoon. They're also light (hence easy to transport) and cheap (cost of the ink).

An example of some paper buildings I've stuck together with some GHQ Chally1's trundling down between them:

Buildings are a mix of Hardcover, IanH and from a German village website with downloadable pdfs of their buildings. Roads are from a images taken from the web and printed.

There are also loads of really good free paper buildings downloadable from the 'Free Stuff' section of the GHQ website. They're made from pictures of Dutch houses around the Arnhem area.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the post Battlerbritain. Your pics inspired me to download a bunch of those paper buildings to integrate with my GHQ metals. However, after the first paper buding looked a little "bowed" i statted hardening them with foam core wall inserts & gluing the roof to a cereal packet before cutting it out.

I also like what you did for the sidewalks as a way to "urbanize" your game board. It does a good job of "blocking off" the buildings.
