Anybody know how the Corgi model stacks up against the Altaya IXO and others? Collecting some to run a game and about to put a request in the Mrs. Santa

I imagine they are similar. You can still get the plastic, pre-painted ones on eBay for a reasonable price, or could, last time I checked. |

In 1:144 scale? What model of B17 are you looking for? That is, not model as in plastic or die-cast, but E,F,G. For 1:144, Bandai makes an excellent B-17F (Wing Club). F-Toys makes a pretty good B-17G (Heavy Bomber Collection [Vol.13]). All are pre-painted and only require a little assembly. Then there are numerous models kits. Most are of the B-17G, but since most are of the early B-17G (no off-set waist gunners) they convert nicely into F models. |

Was looking for F's mostly; the kits are horrible, no fuselage windows – not even for the waist gunners! I have four of the pre-paints at the moment and a promise (if I've been really good this year) of at least two more arriving Christmas day :)
