Who's skill? not mine. I stumbled across this. The site is hard to navigate as the guy is Japanese, Google translate helps. But the pictures need no explanation. Already grabbed some of the plans the guy has produced, but not sure the skill level is there to do them justice.

Sometimes you really do get humbled by the skill someone displays especially when they make something from basics.

look out for the WW2 Ships amongst other things, If anyone browses the site and finds the plans for the space battleship yamato let me know will you.

Judging from the photos I would say that the skill level required for these kits would be pretty high. There's a lot of pretty small pieces, and a lot of curved and rounded components. But since you can print out as many as you need, you can practice as you go. And if you mess up a piece or component, you can alway sprint another. That's one of the advantages of downloadable pdf models.

Good luck with it, and let us know how it goes.

Hey, at least he gave a instruction diagram! In Japan, it's normal not to give any instructions at all with the paper models, because giving instructions makes it non-challenging…

Wish I could get the main battleship model as well.

Who's skill?

Nor any of the rest of us all-opposable digit challenged.

Plastic cardstock has issues, but most I can deal with.

Rothgar, I found the page with the battleship model. The guy has taken it down. Don't know if it's anywhere else on his site. It was on one of the 2009 entries near the back end.

Thinking if I ever get back into ww2 naval gaming I'll go the sensible route, 1/3000th or 1/6000th metal. That way I won't feel so inadequate when attempts to do what that guy does fail miserably! <--thinking I am def digit challenged when it comes to that level of skill with card,
