So the people who publish and sell Saga, which has been out for over a year, are still selling the special dice which you absolutely need to play the game? I am so glad you told us, after all Saga is so obscure that almost no one would have heard of it if you hadn't pointed it out.

Do you read ANYTHING on this site?

Wow man. Tone and sarcasm level really not needed. Though i do see a lot of things that Tango posts and i think to myself "man where you been, i already knew about this for some time." But then there are countless times peeps has asked on this very forum "Where is this or that is can be found" when it has been something like SAGA that has been out for a year. And again i find myself asking "If your a gamer how do you not know about this? Have you been living under a rock." And though i know SAGA has been out i was only recently introduced to it at Fall In.
And to that my understanding was that you dont absolutely need the dice to play. When i asked about it i was told, at the tournament, they look pretty is all but not needed. Was i misinformed?
In the end though snide comments are just not needed and dont help in any way.

I assume the OP was trying to be helpful, no need to be an arse about it:)

Well, not all the forum threads because it's impossible, but I had read this one.
TMP link

and your's from july 20th:

" I printed labels and stuck them onto blank indented dice from here:

blankdice.co.uk

I got 100 blank dice for less than the price of 2 Saga sets, shipped to the US. I'd still like to get a set of the real dice for my 'main' warband, but this way we can play 6 players at a time now.

Rich"

So, I don't understand how you be so rude against me.
I only show a link with some dices, I'm not selling them.
Maybe you have today a bad day Rich?

SAGA plays perfectly fine with normal six sided dice. You do not need the Gripping Beast dice.

While some of Tango's links are a bit old hat, he does find some great stuff that I've never come across. It is not really a big deal to have a quick look and decide which is which!

vaughan11 Nov 2012 3:20 a.m. PST

SAGA dice were sold out almost as soon as the game came out. As a consequence people are always asking when are they going to be on sale again. Not therefore an entirely redundant link.

SAGA plays perfectly fine

Saga CAN be played with normal dice; but, I did not find that optimal. Slightly to much mental conversion from pips to symbol for me.

After waiting a year I finally got my dice so I will not complain about the chronic lack thereof.

Rude people never see themselves as rude. The internet is clogged with them. Shame, really.

Tanuki11 Nov 2012 5:42 a.m. PST

As Vaughan said, getting hold of the Saga dice has been a problem since the game was released. If they're back in stock, a lot of people will want to know – me included!

Rich: no worries, it's easy to blow off steam on the internet. Sometimes too easy :)

Thanks for the info Armand.

nice find

freewargamesrules11 Nov 2012 8:14 a.m. PST

I won't be paying £12.00 GBP for 8 dice. I would go with the blank indented dice. One of the lads in our club has access to a laser cutter so is going to get some wooden dice carved for us at cost price. Will get all the dice sets cheaper than one set of official dice.

We sell tons of these link to SAGA players.

Yeah, I don't know what crawled into my backside- for some reason wasting electrons really got under my skin. I enjoy most of your posts where you point out dioramas and such that most gamers wouldn't see. Sorry about that

Good man.

Dogged11 Nov 2012 12:53 p.m. PST

Thank you Armand. Availability of SAGA dice is always welcome.

And it's nice to see Rich has rectified; it is that what defines a wise behaviour (and even a wise person), being able to get over one's own mistakes.

My hat off for you both, chapeau.

What I do not get from all the posts, are the "official" dice now available?

I made some very usable ones from the free on line pictures for making stickers. Put them on already PIPed dice of which I have hundreds and was good to go. Once the "official" ones show up on eBay for 50 cents each I might get a set.

My thoughts on Armand's postings, better to have multiple references to something than none.

And if you are in the US probably your best option for blank dice is here: link

There are a lot of color options!

Everything cool between us Rich. (smile).
All of us had sometimes bad days too.
