I'm researching a raid by the ski battalion of the Soviet 17th division. About the only information I can find is this: link There is an accompanying map:
On the map is some text which I need help reading. Could anyone familiar with Russian please translate it? The towns and rivers I can do, but the note such as the one about 589 regiment(?) are beyond me. |

OK, I'll try there. Thank you. If your computer is resizing the image, try right clicking on it and pressing "i". It should open the image on its own |

Looks like "unit of unknown origin and a squad from 589 regiment". I saved the picture in my computer and used zoom. |

If your computer is resizing the image, try right clicking on it and pressing "i". It should open the image on its own It does! Never knew that … great tip, RexMcL ('fraid I can't help with the translation, though …) Thanks Phil |

I'm using Firefox as well. the letter "I" is just the keyboard shortcut for "View Image" once the menu is open. |
