I have some Spanish swordsmen from the Jacobite Miniatures Italian Wars 15mm range. I like them and they fit with my QRF and Essex figures.

I would like to buy some more figures from that range.

Does anyone know if they are still in production and if so who sells them?

And SGt. Major bought Venexia – but it is Andy Turlington you need to contact.

Is Stronghold actually in business? His web site has been unstable/out-of-service for a while now. he posted 18 months ago citing personal problems and suspension of business, but I can't find much sign that he has resumed at all.

Oh Bugger12 Nov 2012 4:32 a.m. PST

It seems not. The website is more functional now but I recieved an email from him saying he was not able to fulfill orders at present.

Hope things work out for him.

Mark have PM'd you.

Shame – he has some good stuff that I'd like to get my hands on.

Oh Bugger17 Nov 2012 6:02 a.m. PST

Indeed, me too. Ebay I suppose.

Now we may be getting somewhere. Here is a link to a thread with a link to madaxeman's useful site.

So someone has bought 250 Jacobite packs worth of moulds. Those boys in the photos look bigger than the Jacobite figs I have, perhaps a different range? However I'm thinking the Italian Wars figs must be somewhere if we are talking 250 packs.

Oh Bugger21 Nov 2012 3:18 a.m. PST

Well I sent an email to the new outfit. No response as yet but I'll report back if I get one.

madaxeman21 Nov 2012 8:41 a.m. PST

A lot of the size difference (to Essex-standard..) in the photos came from the figures I bought having rather thick bases.

If they are taller than you remember, this might be an "early production run" effect of the basing ?

Oh Bugger22 Nov 2012 5:08 a.m. PST

Ah that's helpful madaxeman. Did the new chap give you any idea of his timescale for getting up and running?

madaxeman22 Nov 2012 11:12 a.m. PST

He was working through the moulds and trying to match the figures that came out of them to the descriptions in the old catalogue…the moulds had no identification marks so it was a bit of an issue.. !

He seemed to have at least half of the Renaissance ranges done as far as I could see, and they had them bagged up and ready to sell on the stand – thats where I bought the ones in the picture

Oh Bugger22 Nov 2012 11:24 a.m. PST

What a job!

Is he keeping to the Stronghold codes?

If so I can begin to plan my order. Thanks for the info'.

madaxeman23 Nov 2012 5:12 a.m. PST

I'm not sure… there is a link to email them on my website so I suggest you ping him a mail from there ?

Gunboat do you have any idea when the Italian Wars stuff might become available?

I dropped Elite Wargames and Models an email but have not had a response.

GUNBOAT06 Dec 2012 11:17 a.m. PST

Oh Bleeped text so far we have run 65 moulds out of 300 there are some renaissance figures in them. The numbers on the figures do not relate in any way to any of the catalogs we have ( Stronghold) . The moulds have only the mould number on them 1-300 so that's not much help at all the only way is to see what we have is run the moulds . At present i'm going through 2 1/2kg of ACW figures from the last run.
We do not cast our own figures at present so have a 60 miles round trip .
Ill look in the the email problem I know my Son (its his Company he also just made me a grandad so i'm trying to pick up the loose ends this side of Christmas for him ) computer had gone down a few weeks a go I will try to email you back as soon as he gives me his log in.

Oh Bugger06 Dec 2012 2:33 p.m. PST

Gunboat thanks for that comprehensive reply.

Sounds like you have a huge task on your hands, good luck with it.

It might be worth asking on TMP if anyone has the original Jacobite listings the appeared in Miniature Wargaming magazine often enough. Perhaps they would match the moulds.

Don't trouble your son my query was about availability of the Italian Wars range and I guess you cannot know that just yet.
