Looks good! I've done some of the same figures in Woodland MARPAT instead of desert and had a good cry over finding matching colors
Which ones did you use? |

Thanks all, Murphy, I started with a black prime based with Vallejo 921 English Uniform base coat. Block painted with Citadel Dheneb Stone and highlighted with a mix of DS and white. The camo is English Uniform specks with an entire wash of Raw Umber. Hope that helps. |

You mentioned you did not like how the goggles turned out but did not mention the techniques you used. I see you use Tamiya Glazes, this method works great for my figures; undercoat the lens in silver and use a light coat of the Tamiya Green Glaze on them. Darken with another light coat of Green Glaze if you feel it is too bright. The look I go for is: link |

I tend not to use glazes, these are more for mounting figures for painting, though I have used them on some Heavy Gear mini's with the same technique you mentioned. Basically I left the lenses black as I find them to small to do ANY detail. I left the frames black with a touch of grey make them stand out. I'm thinking I'll paint them Tan as I've seen many photo's with them in this color. The next bunch I'll either remove the goggles or cover them with green-stuff to represent the covers that seem to be prevalent kit. I'm torn about whether I should put flocking on or not. |
