I always find it very rewarding when you find something really cheap and then make it look really good for use on the games table, those arachnoids turned out really well congrats on a job well done. I saw this e-bay auction if anyone is interest. auction |

Thanks! The spiders were a real bargain, I would recommend them for anyone who might be after something similar, the ones one ebay look as if they would do for the next stage of spider growth, I might get some of them later! Thanks for the info, I'll put them on my watch list!! |

I got a pack of them the other day and am contemplating how to paint them etc. Yours have come up brilliantly. |

Thanks! I had the same problem deciding the colours too, I just opted for something simple, which was a good idea as they are a little rubbery rather than hard plastic! |

That is one really great scratch-built spider. "Card, paper and cotton wool/pva"? That's amazing! In the picture it practically looks real. |

Thanks for the complement! The legs are made from tubes of paper, reinforced with strips of card, the body was done from cotton wool soaked PVA glue, formed into the abdomen , and head/eyes. The thorax and abdomen and head was then just built up with card strips. |
