I'm building a HotT army – Leonardo's Italians. The general will be Leonardo himself (classified as a cleric, as magic should not work around him!) and I have a flying machine and a tank; pikes, arquebusiers and knights will make up the remainder.
However, I need a stronghold and am stuck. Can anyone point me to a decent source for period buildings/fortifications? Some suggestion what an artillery bastion might look like around 1500? Anything else that could be suggested? The army is in 15mm but I'd prefer smaller scale buildings (if that's what I go with).

Many thanks for any help.

Answering my own question with regard to fortifications at least, Magister Militum have an answer or two…
