There was a topic about WWPD going to NZ TMP link In the latest podcast it was noted this was for WWPD to to a 60 minutes style expose interview. Now, this seems a little like asking Vatican TV to do an expose on the Pope, BUT I will reserve judgement until I hear the results. As part of the event, they are soliciting questions for Battlefront. Here are mine, perhaps you have some as well. It was said the change to plastics was done to save money. Yet the tanks with plastic parts cost the same as the old version with resin parts. Why wasn't the cost savings past on to consumers? The rules for the BAR were changed to curtail their power and currently American Tank Destroyers have the same problem. What proactive steps are you putting in place to stop "codex escalation" Historical players think that Flames of War suffers from not having overwatch. Would you consider creating such a rule if it's use was by "opponent's permission only" A recent decree was made that armies in tournaments had to use Battlefront miniatures. After much outcry this was softened but not reversed. This leaves open the possibility of increasing restrictions over time. Will you commit to allowing non Battlefront miniatures armies in tournaments? |

Not so much so
. just because they are doing what is best for their bottom line is not necessarily "evil". I have lots of questions I would like answers to myself, but all in good time I am sure. |

I suspect that the plastic tank parts were really an effort to start reducing BF's vulnerability to the stupidly volatile metals markets (I swear that the cost of white metal components has gone up by about 10x in the last 4 years!), but it would be nice to hear that for real. I'd hate for BF to shoot themselves in the foot (again), the way that GW did with the Failcast announcement. Agree with the 'Codex Creep' question, but the GAMERS need to remember that the Axis and Allies were both doing some serious upgrading over the course of the war. Disagree with the overwatch rules thing. Ambush and defensive fire fill that role very well, why are you not using those rules? |
