"OK I really do like this game" Topic

We played a 100 + point battle of X-Wing at Nazrat's place. He has a fantastic game room. We had Darth Vader in his TIE Advanced Fighter And Wedge was flying for the Rebels plus we had a variety of other personalities and some basic pilots on both sides. I flew two Y-Wings one with the Ion Cannon and a named X-Wing pilot who's name I forget. In all it was three X-Wings including Wedge and two Y-wings against Vader and five TIE Fighters plus a small asteroid field tossed in for fun.

Things went well for the Rebels early in the battle as we smoked one TIE Fighter right off, but Vader proved to have the force strongly with him even when two X-Wings and the Ion Cannon armed Y-Wing had him dead to rights. Vader dodged every hit through out the game and we only ever managed to take down one of his shields. The Rebels roasted one more TIE Fighter and had damaged a third, but the Ion cannon Y-wing, Wedge, and the X-Wing I was flying all became one with the force. The remaining X-Wing had lost all of its shields and was in the sights of Vader and the remaining Tie Fighters, and the Y-Wing in bad position to help. We had to end the game there due to most of the players having other duties to attend to. However, we will return to fly another day. We voted that the Empire had won this day.

Introduced a few players to it myself over the weekend.
They loved it.
