This is the completed English Civil War command base for my Badenoch Royalists – led by Ewen Macherson of Cluny attended by his piper and a flag bearer.

Those tartans are brilliant. I wouldn't worry too much about getting them absolutely right, since it's only with the Victorians that the tartans really started to be codified. Wish I could paint them like yours. though!

Thanks Caliban! Those tartans were very stressful to paint but I do think they turned out well. I discovered that it is much more difficult to paint three matching tartans than it is to do just one!

I forgot to mention that the figures are by Eureka.
