the campaign rule books does not list any content pertaining to actually running a campaign?

lists, pictures, uniform info and pre-set scenarios does not define a campaign rules set where players may choose alternative courses of actions?

"INSIDE YOU WILL FIND

o- The history of the 100 Day Campaign, including the Battles of Ligny, Quatre Bras and Waterloo
o- Extensive information relating to the uniforms of the three armies involved: British, French and Prussian.
o- British, French and Prussian army lists to make up your army specifically for this campaign.
o- Five historical scenarios to recreate the most important moments in the campaign.
o- Rules on how to include Wellington, Napoleon, Blücher and Ney in your battles.
0- Inspiring pictures of miniatures."

No content pertaining to actually running a campaign. Still waiting for someone to write playable yet comprehensive guidelines for running Napoleonic campaigns, paper or computer, and make them available. Mine may be done before anyone else manages it. Hope not though, since I can't program. So far all I have are codified email and messaging procedures and templates, and a freeware database for the umpire to keep track of everything, which is able to be customised by someone with limited computer skills. I'm on to map and movement procedures next, then map to table transition. I expect it to eventually be useful to those who are organizing a campaign-as opposed to the above, which is a 'Campaign Book' if you define that as a bunch of material anyone can get put in one book. Most of us have it in one bookshelf or a couple flash drives already.

I just received the announcement today, too. I'll have it on our site for pre-order over the weekend. We should then have the rules in stock in a week or so, based on previous experience.

I agree that "campaign manual" is a marketing trick commonly used in wargaming world. If you want a campaign you may try to do this:
sites.google.com/site/nawwaterloo

Campaign tip: Keep things simple or soon you will be lost in supply lines, skirmish encounters and ridiculous unbalanced battles. Focus on the miniatures game or the campaign game will overwhelm the miniatures one.

Anyway the main purpose of this topic was to show you my stupid subtitled video:

Enjoy it

Your patience will soon be rewarded…I expect the Carnage and Glory Napoleonic campaign system to be available sometime after the first of the year…fully computerized campaign system for miniatures.

We'll ship to you as soon as they arrive.

Shipping to Canada is $13.00 USD, to elsewhere in the world is $18.00 USD. That is just one book and anything else that may fit in the flat rate envelope!

To those who want a simple, yet atmospheric campaign system, may I recommend The Campaign Game from Paddy Griffith's Napoleonic Wargaming For Fun [Ward Lock, 1980; reprinted in John Curry's History of Wargaming Project].

A stylised boardgame in effect, with point to point movement, that I have found stimulating to play, and good for generating tabletop battles without great effort.

It would be really cool if the C&G campaign module would have the option to run the campaign with the system and fight the tactical with any set of tabletop rules !!! … If not the first version maybe an eventual evolution ?

Eager to see the 100 days book.. I do see it more like a source book, army lists plus scenarios.. still very valuable.. The GW book actually has a nice set of Waterloo Scenarios ( tactical level ) that can be done as a campaign, but a story line campaign, not strategic campaign.

Clearly copying the system Juankurtu used for their waterloo campaign sounds great..

As a Playtester and collaborator with the project I can tell you more or less the contents of it. Not very much but at least a bit more than the brief paragraph in the cover.

The first part is an historic introduction where are the facts we all know and have heard thousands of times. For connoisseurs, the resume is more "Chandlerlish" than "Hofschroerlish" Do not expect surprises here. You know what I mean don´t you?

The core of the book is the armies section divided in three parts for French, Anglo-allied and Prussians.
Each part contains a brief historic resume where are again the facts we all know about the armies engaged. There are a lot of Elves and Landser players in the world so these things are necessary. Do not scare new blood to the hobby, you will have plenty of time later to do that!

Then we have some personalities statistics to play with the main commanders of the armies. Do not worry too much since their contribution is more subtle than increasing combat skills of their troops. Actually engaging them in combat is a very bad idea except for Ney. (That redhead bastard is really hard to kill!)

The lists have been created taking as a high priority the historic accuracy. You can create the historic formations with them since that is the aim. If you want to maximize the points and do that kind of unsporting behaviour so common in the Elves Lands you can do it but the own design of lists won´t let you go too far. Or at least that was our intention!
And to complete each army there are some pages dedicated to uniforms with many drawings models of soldiers.

And finally the last part of the book there are five scenarios to play with the historic troops and specific victory conditions.

All in all my conclusion can only be positive but as I am one of the playtesters do not consider me a neutral or non biased source of information.

See you!

Well, my secure server is down, so you cannot complete orders with credit cards. You can call in your card # or use paypal.

And since the server is located in PA, they are a bit slow fixing things right now. Grr.

Servers are back up (mostly), so you should be able to order normally.
