They would probably work. But it might be just as easy to hit Wal-Mart or Big Lots or Dollar Tree for some cheap toys. Action figure aircraft/spacecraft would work – they are often greatly underscaled and you're just chopping them to bits anyway. Imaginext and Fisher Price Little People are worth looking at too – the stubby portions could make for interesting aircraft. For example, this is a current $6 USD toy:
Carve it into a few pieces, drill and cut some battle damage, and partially bury it in some spackling or cork or styrofoam. Instant crashed alien recon pod. -Chris K. |
