I find myself in need of some hexagonal sheet metal bases, but the Game Crafters site appears to be kaput. Does anyone know if they are still doing business? If not, does anyone know of an alternative source? I'd need bases approx. 1" across (flat to flat).

Ouch, I hope they are still in business and this is just a temporary technical glitch. Game Crafters is my goto source for thin sheet metal round bases.

Hello

Yes, Game crafters is no longer in Business.

Damn, I was about to place an order for some of their 3/4" ones, I hope this is temporary, otherwise I'll also be looking for a good alternative.

I've tried using regular washers, but most of the ones I've found locally have had significant burrs and pitting, (and cleaning them up removed the zinc plating, which made them prone to rust) but maybe I've just been buying the wrong types/brands.

Well crap-a-doodle-doo! Anybody have suggestions for an alternative?

We have considered adding metal bases to our lineup in the past. What sizes are you looking for?

That would be cool. Then I could order my painting template and the bases from the same place. grin Right now I just need a small quantity (25 would be way more than enough) of 1" (flat-to-flat). Some round bases would also be outstanding (for a different project) – 1" diameter would work quite well. If possible, I'd like them in a thin material like Wargame Accessories uses, which I believe is 22ga.

It would be great if LITKO started making metal bases--particularly rounds. 25mm/1-inch would be a good starting point, perhaps moving on to larger/smaller if those sold.

I'd personally like to see some 3/4th inch rounds; I've got at least a hundred 15mm figures that're waiting for magnetic bases that won't rust at the drop of a hat.

@ Litko: yeah it'll be great if you are going to add thin sheet metal round bases to your line-up, 25mm or 1 inch rounds is what I want.

I would buy a solid hundred 25mm rounds (for Warhammer), and also 40mm and 50mm ones (for Warmachine).
