Armaments In Miniature LLC has just released it's 1/100 scale (15mm) FMA IA 58 "Pucara" resin aircraft model. This plane was used by Argentina in the Falkland Islands War as a ground support aircraft. Cost is $15.00 USD USD plus postage and handling. It will be available at HMGS East's Fall In! convention in Lancaster, PA.

Thanks, Dave! Below is a link to the Wings Palette website's page on the various color schemes of the Pucara: wp.scn.ru/en/ww3/a/954/91/0 |

Do AIM do a SU25 Frogfoot yet? |

Sparker, not yet for the "Frogfoot". Maybe mid next year. |

Looks good. Will definitely add that to the want list. |

I was looking at the real thing at the RAF Museum at Cosford a few days ago. The undersides were quite a bright "sky blue", the base colour was a sort of very pale buff with a pinkish hue to it and the cammo applied over that was a very pale green/grey. From the link given above this one is the closest:
Ah, just found a photo of it (not mine): link Incidentally if you are in the UK then RAF Cosford is well worth a vistit (and has free admission). Its collection of British V Bombers and nuclear bomb casings is quite chilling! |

The Army Air Corp museum at Middle Wallop used to have a couple of these not long after the war, but I don't know if they're still there. I think one of them was in a 'damaged' state |

Looks fantastic! I'll be ordering one as soon as I get back from my hols. Re surviving Pucaras in the UK – the Empire Test Pilots' School at Boscombe Down had one for evaluation for a time and I actually saw it flying at RAF Brize Norton. The Cosford one might be that aircraft. Annyoingly, I'm frequently at Cosford, but am always busy with cadets, so never get to see the museum, despite it being right next to our aeroplanes. The museum is always there as a 'wet weather option', but the weather has always been depressingly glorious every time. I did once get as far as the foyer of the museum, before being called away to deal with a broken cadet. :( |

(sorry to sort of hijack the thread) It is an excellent museum Mark and you should make time to have a good look around. Fortunately I live only a very short drive away and my 5 year old daughter loves it there. Win-win situation for me :-) |

But I live in eternal hope that one day my cadets' flying or sport might be rained off and they will then be forced to have a miserable day following me around a museum. Serves 'em right for being so bloody young. I live for those moments
That said; my dad recently asked if I'd been there, so I might take him up in the near future and bore him rigid with 'interesting facts' instead. |

I have been having issues with accessing the Armaments in Miniature website. Is it kaput? |

It was working for me a couple of days ago. I should add that I did indeed buy a Pucara and it is an absolutely fantastic model. |

Forgot about these, so this is an excellent reminder. May need to order up a pair for tactical air support, and to serve as targets for the British. |

All we need now is for someone to do a Harrier GR3. Takara/Aoshima did one, but it's long out of production and very rare. |
