I had missed this notice from September 26th. He was 95 years old. link link Apart of his book would be a novel (or pulp fiction) or reality, I had enjoy them very much when I was a teen. Amicalement Armand

Didn't Mark Twain or someone say something to the effect of never let the truth get in the way of a good story? Either way, I found his books a welcome diversion one summer long ago. Eric |

"Didn't Mark Twain or someone say something to the effect of never let the truth get in the way of a good story?" Plus 1! However, I wasn't able to get thru the one I borrowed at the library. The numerous inaccuracies made it completely unbelievable that he had ever served as he claimed. My favorite were the panther flame throwing tanks. Lots of period feel, but somewhere along the historical accuracy of my "Sgt. Rock" comics. As for where this post should be, I'll make one strong statement that the obsessive categorization of posts at TMP is a detriment to it's usefulness. And I'll +1 to Texas Jack on the topic of good manners. |
