With the addition of the "ground," this is looking really nice!! I was just up @ FWH in July, and I feel you've captured the spirit of the place very well.

I DO have one question? It looks like that in taking a "slice" through the fort, so as to keep the model manageable on the war-games table, the "slicing & dicing" makes it impossible to "physically" move a figure through your gate and INTO the part of the fort parade ground you've modeled? I'd have thought that just for aesthetics, if nothing else, you'd have left at least a base-wide "ledge" behind the center fort wall so as to move figures through the gate and onto the parade? That's just an observation, a "critique," not a criticism… LMK when you are done with the model and are selling it!!! grin

lol … happy entertain any feedback, good, bad or neutral :-)

First – thanks … it's nice to hear from someone who actually has been to the fort! I have not … visiting only through pictures and diagrams … and well … stills from the LotM.

I made the doors functional … not for any other reason but that it would bother me if they were not. I didn't leave space to go into the parade ground as technically there should be a building occupying most if not all of the available space. It boils down to the return on investment … for the scenario I've put together it isn't critical to have access to the parade ground. The fort acts as a centerpeice for the seige … I'll assume once a model makes it inside the door they can use an activation to appear anywhere on the ramparts they want … then activate from there … or use an activation to get back to the door to leave the fort. Given the size I didn't want units getting bogged down in just moving about the fort.

I've already started the cascading French gun postion (started last night while waiting for some stuff to dry on the FWH model.
