Here is the Rebel transport Model from the Hoth Model set. I think it will do nicely for an in-game Freighter.

According to the information at this site: link The Hoth set is 1/150 scale. Assuming the component is scaled correctly (not always a safe bet), it is in fact too big for the X-wing game models
Damn. |

I actually think it is a little small. But it looks good on the table, so I'll be satisfied with that. |

Keep in mind that the 'Action Fleet' Rebel Transport playset is the same size as well. When it's the only game in town, too big or too small, it will have to do. David gamerarchitect.blogspot.com |

Dear Editor: If you could edit my post, I was actually trying to type my name! Damon (you can see the problem that I sometimes have

The X Wings from that same model set are very close, within a couple millimeters, to the size of the X Wings in the game. The Y Wings from the model set are close, in footprint, but quite a bit fatter in the "nose" and the rest of it is just off so would not mix well at all. That said, I'm happily using the transport. I could post pics of the fighters as a comparison if anyone is interested. I'm hoping the Falcon model from the set is close to the one from FFG but I'm not holding my breath. Stacy |

I wasn't doubting your research, in fact you have just PROVED beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have put a LOT more research into this than I thought could be done
. But the fact remains, i always thought they were bigger
(like an order of magnitude bigger) Guess EVERYTHINGS big when you first saw these movies at 3 years old |

Keep in mind that the 'Action Fleet' Rebel Transport playset is the same size as well. Just had a look on eBay for that
hope you're sitting down

The Hoth kit is a scale disaster. The people are on scale the swings are about 1/270 but the ywings, falcon, and supply ship are three different scales. The transport is about half scale size but is probably the best out there. |

Apologies for resurrecting the old topic but I thought I will add my findings regarding scale. FFG's GR-75 is approximately 1:500 according to the producer. Measuring 22,75 cms it is in fact closer to 1:396 according to this page: link Hoth Base set GR-75 is approximately 1:375 according to this page: link The model is slightly larger (24 cm) than FFG's so this seems to be correct. The closest to X-wing scale (1:270) so far would be an Action Fleet Rebel Transport that measures about 26,6 cm which makes it in scale of about 1:338. It is still smallish but the closest one could get regarding the size. |

I got to look around the basement for I know I have one of those Hoth GR-75. Maybe some body would trade some micro machine capital ships for it. I have the x-wings also. Off to start looking. |
