There is a 30 part daily essay series on BBC Radio 3 & i-player titled Anglo-Saxon Portraits (key figures from the leaving of Rome to the Norman Conquest). So far, they have discussed Vortigern, the Peasant Farmer, St Augustine, & 3 Alpha females. link |

And there are still people who moan about the licence fee. This, with "In our time" are pretty much justification enough. Add in the whole of Radio3 and Radio4Extra and the weekend music shows on BBC4 (TV) and everything else is just a bonus ! |
