I was pondering over PC stats and was wondering how many different ones there are? A lot of them cover the same ground and some in different ways. So throw in your favorite games PC stats and lets see how many are the same and how many are different D&D Strength Dexterity Constitution Intelligence Wisdom Charisma Marvel Super Heroes Fighting Agility Strength Endurance Reason Intuition Psyche Rifts Intelligence, mental agility. Equivalent to a real life IQ divided by 10. Mental Endurance, willpower, coping with stress and mental strain Mental Affinity, charm, charisma, how naturally endearing to others a character is Physical Strength, the amount of power the body can exert Physical Prowess, agility, dexterity, hand to eye coordination Physical Endurance, the body's resistance to damage and illness as well as a character's stamina and fitness Physical Beauty, how attractive a character is Speed, how fast a character can run That is the list of games I used to play regularly. How many more stats/attributes are there in your favorite games? |

I'm asking for them all I guess, Thanks for adding these. I am looking to compile them as I am working through a custom RPG set of rules and would like to see what others have used before. |

Traveller has: Age (self explanatory, only comes in to play when you reach middle age and have to start making "aging crisis" checks.) Strength (how much force can you exert?) Dexterity (how accurate are you?) Endurance (how long can you do stressful things?) Intelligence (how good are you at solving problems?) Education (how much "schoolin'" do you have?) Social Standing (where do you fall, socio-economically?) Psionics (optional, requires illegal training to use) Charisma (Vargrs only, replaces Social Standing for them) Social Standing is interesting because it not only controls how much money you have to spend on personal upkeep, but it also controls how much "weight" you have to throw around. If you don't spend your "upkeep", you are in danger of losing status! Psionics is theoretically available to any race of psi-capable sophonts, but since studying psionics is illegal in the Imperium, you have to go underground to get the training. Psi also deteriorates quickly after you reach adulthood if you don't train to use it. |

Well the quest begs, What do stats portray? |

Tales of Blades and Heroes has only two formal stats. Quality (the "to do stuff" stat) and Combat (the "fight" stat). THese are, however, modified by lots of special rules. For example you could be Focused so your Quality (which normally is a 4, meaning that a 4 on a d6 will give you one success) is 3 on mental rolls and 5 on social rolls. |
