I know a lot of you can't stand the sight of paper buildings. And I can understand that; they're usually garish, flat and boring, and done poorly they look like a cheap substitute for the real thing. I'm trying to change that, by marrying laser-cut MDF style layers along with paper skins. There's the result, taken with my horrendous phone camera:
The only things required to make the building were: 1. The printouts 2. Different weights of paper (poster board, matboard) 3. Glue stick and white glue 4. A ruler and a knife. The cutting mat is optional but recommended. 5. A grey marker I doubt very much I could have handpainted anything to this level of detail without a significantly larger outlay of time. Or if I could do it at all. Assuming there's interest (which is probably not a given) I can make buildings like these available. There's the usual article with slightly more detail here. |

I'm not sure on whether to sell them or just give them away. Maybe a bit of both. |

I'm no fan of paper buildings but I have to say that what you've done is a superb compromise and a masterful use of different media. Well done! John T |

Nice work. That is the kind of look I have been seeking for my 15mm sci fi. |

Very impressive! I love paper buildings, they are an easy way of getting a totally different set of terrain, quickly and cheaply, Let me know if you are giving the copies of that way, It'll go really well with the rest of my modern card buildings! |

So, basically like those 3D models, but turned up to Awesome?! I approve, and I look forward to seeing more of this (and probably giving you some money); that setup at the end was particularly impressive! |

I am also impressed with how good that looks. |

Ditto with the comments stated above. Good and Modern looking, something which is sorely lacking in terrain these days. |

Very impressive! I make buildings with MDF and I hand paint them. Just papering them like that would be quite a time-saver. |

Fantastic looking building. That side view is very realistic. |

yes, well impressed. I'd be tempted to use double-sided tape in place of white glue. (I'm a recent discoverer of paper buildings). fantastic layout also. |

sell or give away, either way I'd be interested. Only thing I'd change is a big panel on the narrow side for pictures of our leader or commercial advertising. |
