Hi, I have had a look at the GHQ rules micro squad, i've got to say they look very interesting. I played Micro armour the game years ago, but at the time didn't like it that much. I can't remember why
So, do any of you guys play micro Squad? If so, how does it play? any good? Im after an excuse to buy a load of GHQ vehicles
.not that i need an excuse i suppose
Ive looked around on the web and there isn't much publicity and no reviews that i can find. Steve |

Are you asking about Micro Squad the game? If so you can get the PDF version for free. link I've gone with IABSM and Fireball Forward personally. If you are wanting an excuse to play WWII with Microarmor there are plenty of options – just about any rule set that works with 15mm works even better with 6mm due to the ground scale almost always being closer to 6mm then 15mm. |

Yep thanks, ive downloaded the rules, but im after some thoughts on how it plays, i normally play blitzkrieg commander, but quite like the look of the more detailed rules in Microsquad. Steve |

I have played the original Micro Armour the Game and enjoyed it, the system is subtle and works well. The only minor complaints I have is that the artillery rules seem much less abstracted and more detailed than the remainder of the rules so they seem an odd fit. Also if you want to play a large game (3 battalions) I would use Spearhead as MAG will be too slow. Otherwise they work well, but take a bit of getting used to as the mechanics are more like a board game than a miniature game. |
