Started a new conversion/scratchbuild today… A native chieftain on a dinosaur steed. He'll lead the charge against Her Majesty's forces on the Lost Continent…

Where did you get the rider?

Chris Palmer08 Oct 2012 4:37 a.m. PST

That's terrific!

krieghund08 Oct 2012 5:13 a.m. PST

First rate.

As already stated, top work- very fun and evocative, and more than a little inspirational, as well!

Where did you get the rider?

Looks like Perry plastics- either a modified plastic Mahdist, or a combination of a modified Mahdist body, and a head from an ACW Zouave?

That is really cool! The rider and his equipment are a natural-looking fit.

Sumatran Rat Monkey08 Oct 2012 6:20 a.m. PST

Well, that was odd- somehow, re-sent my earlier reply, before I went back and edited it to add bits. Strange.

Sweet!

Thanks, Gents! You're too kind.

The rider is indeed a Perry Miniatures Mahdist. The T-Rex is a baby from the Jurassic Park 2 range of toys. It has an injured leg, hence the bandages I'll be disguising as something else.

More to follow soon…

freecloud09 Oct 2012 2:43 a.m. PST

Very good! I have put North Star pygmies on Tamiya Velociraptors, will put up a pic sometime.

What I would like to get is some caveman Dino-riders (anyobne know of figures?)as everyone knows Neanderthals were superb dinosaur whisperers :-)

Lesack11 Oct 2012 4:07 p.m. PST

Instead of removing the bandage, you should put one on the other leg, because nothing says "Colonial Dinosaur" like puttees.

Here you go… Done!
