My beloved Australia Post is scrapping the 0-250g weight band for international parcels on 22 October, replacing it with a 0-500g weight band and increasing prices at the same time. A 0-500g parcel will cost AUD17.20 (about £10.90 GBP) to ship to Europe. The next band is 501-1000g, which costs AUD37.00 (about £23.40 GBP) to Europe. Ouch! |

Not good – but this won't affect the price of incoming mail, right? |

I wish the incoming mail was that cheap. Last time I looked, 1 packet of Old Glory minis would cost something like $US35-40 to ship to Aus. |

Just checked again. $US47.95. Sweet. |

Damn, Oz post cost us enough with the low band
.this will hurt. Plus make 2nd hand sales overseas less attractive. |

Ugly indeed. Any possibility of raising the issue with your MP? Yes, they did not make a great deal of money on the low weight band, but what was the volume/loss rate? It seems they are discriminating against micro-capitlists like us. |
