We went with small washers with a wisp of batting painted brown to show a pin. They look like the near misses you see in the movies. |

'Batting', for us Brits, that's nothing to do with cricket, but what we'd call wadding or filler. It's "a layer of insulation used in quilting between a top layer of patchwork and a bottom layer of backing material. Batting is usually made of cotton, polyester, and/or wool." According to Wikipedia anyway. Sounds like a good idea, very visual, ta. |
