Other than GHQ, Viking Forge, Alnavco, CNC and Navwar are there any other 1/2400 scale modern naval manufactures'? Just expanding in to this area. Primary interest is 1980s. |

QRF has a range called Sea Wulf, seem to remember it was centered around the Falklands. |

Looked at Sea Wulf. THnaks! They have expanded past just the Falklands. Nice range of merchies and Ueropean ships. Have ordered some. Thank You! Any other manufacturers out there? Still some holes I need to fill. |

I had looked at Panzerschiffe, but unless I'm missing something, their "Modern" Section are all "planned but never builts." |

geoff would you be doing seperate 1/2400 scale aircraft |
GeoffQRF | 07 Oct 2012 1:56 p.m. PST |
Chas should have a selection of 1/1200 helicopters and aircraft, which we feel work better with 1/2400 ships. |

The real workhorse behind QRF, SeaWulf and TSS, who does much of the modelling, moulding and casting on a daily basis in the production unit. I'm just the public relations front (although I do also do the sculpting and modelling). ;-) |

There is also a shop on Shapeways, where they do 3d printing. About the same quality as Panzerschiffe, but they do make quite a few in 1/2400 scale. shapeways.com/shops/objects |

Are there any good pictures of CNC ships anywhere? The prices look really good compared to GHQ, but I'd like to see how the detail compares before ordering any. |
Mako11 | 14 Oct 2012 11:45 p.m. PST |
They don't have as much detailing as the GHQ models, but they are still very nice, crisp, clean castings. |

That's good. I don't need infinite detail marking every door and porthole, but sharp casting is an absolute must for me. That's one reason why I won't buy Superior if anyone else makes a given ship. Got a Kirov from them, and it just seemed
soft. |
