After a short break (after several months gaming nothing but Punic War battles) our 2nd Punic War campaign is up and running again. Nero had, if you remember, brought Hannibal to battle in southern Italy. I (Hannibal) was concious that a defeat could mean the end for offensive Carthaginian efforts. everything would hang on this battle – which is probably another reason we had a break before fighting it out. The report, pics, result and campaign consequences are here: link
I hope you enjoy it, because one player didn't! |

Your tabletop photos are always so clear. Do you post as is or sharpen beforehand with a photo editing program? Or
just a good photographer and camera? |

Fabius was right – don't attack Hannibal in Italy! Great stuff, James. |

Thanks all. Schogun – Nope, I'm not, and its just an old pocket Cannon IXUS 30. There are much better cameras in phones these days – it's largest pic is about 1.4 meg. I do have two tripods though, mini and full size, which I always use with a 2 sec timer and no flash. I also have quite good lighting (most shots of games are taken at night) in 10 foot of flourescent tubing running 4 feet above the table. Daylight pics are aided by an 8 foot wide window. |

Awesome report. Thank you for posting. I was rooting for the Romans. Oh well
win some, lose-by-having-your-army=wiped-out-to-the-last-man some. It appears that the fight for the flanks determines the battle. Is that a misconception of my reading or that is what is happening on the board. |

Thanks for the wonderful report as I wipe up the drool from gawking at your superbly painted armies. I'm with Louie, I was pulling for the Romans too. |
