Who makes the best/most detailed 15mm cold war/modern vehicles and infantry in your opinion? Are there any manufacturers that you avoid for quality reasons? Alot of the sites only have a few photos of their items and it's hard for me to tell what brands to rely upon. Thanks.

Skytrex for AFVs, hands down! Peter Pig for Russian Inf, although look at the Eureka modern russians too QRF will be bringing out Cold War Brits soon, and the greens looked good – they also have extensive range of non mainstream AFV and softskins, but their quality varies…

Rebel Minis has some good US/Chinese/Insurgent Infantry. Good price too.

Revell Germany does plastic ones in 1/100th scale. I think QRF produces those helos as well.

Two versions of the Hind, one of the Apache. Resin with metal parts.

You can find diecast 1/100 helos around from time to time. I've got Hinds, Apaches & a Wessex. Try ebay.

Ill second Irish Serb for US stuff, Eureka for post 1990 Russians. QRF has a good selection of AFVs. I have not tried Skytrex. Avoid Command Decision minis if possible. Irregular makes an 80s-ish US infantry line. QRF has French infantry with British SLR infantry on the way.

Just got some Skytrex BRMs and BRDM2Us ready to paint. Very ckean castings, no filling needed and good detail.
