Gents, my new Perry Plastics arrived this morning, lovely sculpts, easy to put together all round very good. A few phots to compare with the Perry stuff. I do like the Victrix but the simplicity of the Perry stuff is very nice, the only disadvantage is lack of "skirmish" positions for those that want them. Victrix on the left in the first phot, in the 2nd shot Victrix/Perry/Front Rank.

Thanks for that. Plastic Austrians are tempting me into 25mm Napoleonics more than anything else out there. |

See, Nick? If you add all this Austrian Line, you're going to need those "extra" Grenzer after all! :-) Peter |

Is it just me or don't the Perry's look noticibly smaller? Not that it really matters as I liek and would use both, but in separate units. Maybe it's the differing thicknesses of their stand sizes? |

The Hungarians in the middle are Perry metal. Otherwise yes there is a subtle difference in size between the plastics, ie the crest on the Perry helmet is thinner than the Victrix, but there is no real difference in height. They will mix well on the table top and possibly in the same unit as long as one does not look too closely! Tally Ho! |

How well would they mix with Sash and Sabre, all my Austrians are from them? |

I use my Sash guys as line, and save the Front Rank for grenadiers. |

In my French army, I keep Sash & Saber in separate units. They mix fine with Wargames Foundry, but a tad smaller with most other manufacturers. Probably holds true with the Austrians. As much as I abhor Foundry's pricing, I'll be using their skirmishers for my Sash and Saber line/light units. |
