Part of the gaming hobby is the gaming the other part which know always I find just as enjoyable if not more so is the modeling our figures terrain and models.we all build armies and most us pick them up nicely and then games. What a lot of us neglect is the background of the battles we fight as well as the battlefield itself.a beautifully painted on playing bearings battlefield with too little training and no real cover still looks good but it looks out of place.

I myself have been working on lots of urban terrain for sci-fi campaign I'm planning to run as well I've only using urban terrain in night games I needed to take a break from building and gaming using only urban terrain. I realized I was guilty of not seeing the forest for the trees.so I decided I needed some rural piece of terrain. Adding another project by already overflowing list was the last thing I want to do. I still added terrain project for forest and hills and began to plan them out. If I didn't have time to build all the trees by hand myself so I went to eBay and purchased 140 or so trees from China I received approximately 80 or so trees to date. Saving myself the work of doing the trees myself allowed me to go directly to putting the hill together. These hills are old-school gaming hills simple to make and they look good. There are few example of my forest & Hills pics and lots more pictures at my blog.

Only Showing showing the first 45 or 50 of the trees & I got them mounted in base properly.

Very impressive trees! Years ago, I bought around 500 trees from a cake decorator company, and I divided them up within my gaming group. It worked out well, but I still don't have the size of trees, nor the variety, that I would like. I did a search, on e-Bay, for "model trees", and I came up with around 800 entries. I was truly amazed at the variety, and the prices -- they are a much better deal, overall, than the cake decorator option I went with. Thank you for sharing. Cheers!

By coincidence, I just ordered some pre-made trees for 6mm scale, after making my own for many, many years – will compare to see if I like them better…
