Has anyone seen a flag for this unit? I've look at most of the flag vendors out there and all of the reference books I can find. There is no information on this unit's flag.

I am assuming you want the 14 Pułk Kirasjerów Księstwa Warszawskiego
- 1.ix.1809 (NS) pułkownik Stanisław Małachowski
- 19.i.1813 (NS) pułkownik Kazimierz Dziekoński

Polish (infantry) flag – white/sliver on "Polish red" background ("raspberry", "light crimson" ?). Cavalry should be the same, maybe a tad smaller (should be same size as French cavalry flags)

This is, according to the Polish Military Museum, a "souvenir flag" of the period commerating the 1807 rising. Could be. But it looks alot like a re-use of a regimental flag with a white background. Later Polish cavalry standard were white, so one wonders if maybe the Duchy of Warsaw cavalry flags looked more like this.

Thank you Seroga. You identify the correct unit. I was going down the road of using the 15th Regiments of Lancers flag but change the number on it to 14. Since no 2 units in the Polish Army had the same flag there is some room for interptation

Dear James,

Do you have a image or description of the uhlan's flag?

Also, looking at the images I posted, and the re-enactors' flag, it looks like the head of the eagle on the flag is toward the hoist and the feet of the eagle toward the fly end. Do you see it the same or am I crazy?

Thanks!

Just recently completed the 14th Polish Cuirassiers in 1/72 – having had a Rofur-Flag (a German enterprise) of the 15th Uhlans I only put some paint over the number. Works sufficiently well in this scale.
And there is no information to be found to the contrary …

Seroga, I don't know how to post a picture. From – "Flags and Standards of the Napoleonic Wars by Keith Over – page 105 – " The 15th Lancers had a crimson standard 57cm x 55cm. The silver eagle was on both sides with the yellow number XV in the lower fly corner." I may do exactly what grenadier corporal did unless I can get some better information.
