The Low Life Miniatures Kickstarter now has 3 days left. In case anyone doesn't know, the KS is used to fund and create a line of 30mm scale miniatures for use with the Low Life RPG, the upcoming Low Brawl miniatures&card game, and an in-development wargame. If you don't know what Low Life is, here's a little summary: "Every possible calamity, cataclysm, apocalypse, and cosmic hangnail has befallen our beloved Mutha Oith during a bygone era known as The Time of The Flush. Now, After the Wipe, the ancient Hoomanrace is extinct and the wobbly orb is wrecked. Oith's current denizens evolved from the lowliest of the low: the resilient roach, the indomitable worm, the everlasting snack cake – the dregs that survived. It is a time of grand adventure, bold exploration, mighty hocus-pokings, and the occasional hint of whimsical madness; a time of immense struggle, monstrous monstrosities, and remarkable happenstance where even the lowliest worm can become a Keistermeister by his own mop."
A bunch of the stretch goals have been smashed through and now every pledge level is getting some good lovin'. The $50 USD pledge level is great in that it gives you 17 miniatures and free downloads of the RPG and the first sourcebook, The Whole Hole vol 01 (immediately – just check Update 6 for the download links). Each higher pledge level, $75 USD, $100 USD, and then $150 USD, gives you access to more (and larger) figures. Personally I'm at the $150 USD level which has 42 miniatures of 30mm size or larger! I can't wait because I'm kinda getting sick of painting the same ol same ol miniatures over and over again. The awesome and unique design and the fantastic background has gotten me very excited about this project. No, I'm not an employee, just very enthusiastic about this. I hope one of you reading this also thinks it's awesome and decided to support
well, because, honestly, the more people that support, the more stretch goals we can get through and the more freebies we all get :) Thanks for reading! :) link |

It's worth mentioning that the $100 USD pledge level is a pretty good bargain as well. While you're getting 42 (or 43 – I think they've got the second blor-porple sculpt funded at the moment) at $150 USD, you still get 40 figs at the $100 USD mark, which isn't too shabby either. You might feel sad if/when it surges to $40 USDK or more and the guys who spent an extra $50 USD wind up with giant Tenementals and Clamsak the Corpulent and Plorps, but such is the price of economizing. :) |

Oh, absolutely. And from what I understand – these figs are pretty massive (most on 30, 40, and 50mm bases) and will wind up having a retail of $10 USD each or more when all is said and done. Many will be made of resin because they're so big. I'm at the highest level and I'm definitely hoping to get the Cremefillian war band and the normal Plorp unlocked! And all the free figs for the Facebook likes! (www.facebook.com/lowlifeminis) only a few hundred to go for another set of minis thrown in! |

$37 USDk was surpassed and now it's on to the Tenemental at the $40 USDk mark! The $150 USD level is definitely the best value with 43 miniatures. And now there's add on packs for $32 USD that adds on 8 Scary Ass Muthas or 8 Hot Dammits! |

This is a superb bargain, and some really nice looking figures. |

Those "horde" packs are really tempting. |
| evilcartoonist | 20 Sep 2012 8:59 a.m. PST |
A lot of people have been going for those horde packs. I went in for some :) Getting close to the Tenemental! |

There's also a "surprise" if we het $40 USDk: "Can we reach $40,000 USD clams by breakfast tomorrow? If we do, there'll be a little something special in your stocking this year." |

Certainly been a good example of a well-run KS project from a smaller company. He's been very responsive, and his enthusiasm for the project really comes through. I think that's helped his draw as much as his generous stretch rewards and rather unique aesthetics. |

only $1,500 USD or so away from the Tenemental and the "surprise"! |
| ARMY Strong | 20 Sep 2012 11:23 a.m. PST |
Is there only a RPG game or is there a miniature game as well? Buying hordes makes me think there is skirmish rules. Still on the fence. JH |
| Judge Doug | 20 Sep 2012 12:40 p.m. PST |
ARMY Strong – currently the RPG, but each miniature comes with the card to play in Low Brawl, which is an upcoming card/miniatures game for Low Life). When you get the figures you'll be able to immediately use them in Low Brawl. Also on the development burner is a more traditional actual skirmish wargame (with warbands and such), but that's definitely next year. |

The RPG uses the Savage Worlds rules, which lend themselves to skirmish-level minis gaming and player characters leading units of grunt troops and minions. There's a good use for hordes of some figure types even when just using Low Lofe for roleplaying. |

Thanks that's helpful I think I'm going to buy in at $50 USD to start and think about upping it once I see the PDF books. Now on KS starter it says you only get 9 figures but in this post it says 17 is this a miss type on this post or are these extra's rewards? Thanks for the help. |
| The Beast Rabban | 20 Sep 2012 8:32 p.m. PST |
They're the stretch goal rewards and the like, added onto the initial nine. You can see what the $50 USD level gets you on the "lineup" near the top of the home page. |

Yowzers, that jumped a lot overnight. The sweet spot's drifting from $100 USD to $150 USD rapidly, what with the extra $50 USD getting you the giant Tenemental, the rather hefty Clamsack, and (if i'm counting right) 8 other figs, with a good shot of the similarly huge Plorp getting funded and maybe more. More than fifty minis for $150 USD now, some quite large. |
| Judge Doug | 21 Sep 2012 8:09 a.m. PST |
and the Facebook likes unlocked new figures too! The $150 USD level is currently netting 53 pewter and resin miniatures! link |

Great to see this moving forward again! I hope you guys enjoy your (pretty much) inevitable cremefillian war party. I may manage to upgrade to $100 USD, but I can't go beyond that and still kick in on Dreadball. |
| Judge Doug | 21 Sep 2012 6:32 p.m. PST |
you should definitely try to squeak in a 150 pledge. it's such a deal at this point
maybe you've got some old figs you need to sell? :) it's actually just ridiculous how ridiculously good of a ridiculous deal the 150 pledge is, for ridiculously awesome ridiculous figures for a ridiculously bizarre setting. |
| The Beast Rabban | 21 Sep 2012 6:52 p.m. PST |
I realize how much better off I'd be doubling down, we'll see how eBay goes tomorrow. It might help if Andy'd give us a better taste of what the war party might look like (other than his "rough sketch" ). Not like I don't trust his artistry, I just want more enticing eye candy- er, cake. |
| Judge Doug | 21 Sep 2012 7:21 p.m. PST |
oh, he posted a WIP on his facebook page – hope this link works

| Judge Doug | 22 Sep 2012 8:06 a.m. PST |
last 24 hours everyone! here's another WIP, this time of the Pandalope
|
| Judge Doug | 22 Sep 2012 8:19 a.m. PST |
so many stretch goals have been unlocked in the past day, the $150 USD level now include 58 figures. |
Chief Lackey Rich | 22 Sep 2012 10:26 a.m. PST |
60 figs, now. $2.50 USD a figure and dropping, a heck of a bargain. |
| Judge Doug | 22 Sep 2012 11:20 a.m. PST |
i'm trying to figure out if there's a way i can fit it two pledges so i can get two sets, but i don't think that's possible, haha. this is such a deal it's ridiculous. |
