New on the Low Life Kickstarter page, the "design your own character" contest winner is a nice nod to painters – complete with brush, paint can, and a palette for a shield. Has a cute backstory too, although you'll have to read that on the main page or the entries, it's not on the update here:

Mind you, they need to pull in another $17 USDK or so this week to actually get him into production, but that's not looking too unlikely. At a current count of 40 figures for the $100 USD pledge level (some of them quite large) this is turning into a pretty good deal, and the stretch goals are now adding to the $150 USD level steadily – 2 more figs unlocked, and the gigantic Tenemental (fundamental spirit of substandard housing) is getting close.

Nice to see such loony figs getting good support. Maybe there's hope for a GWAR minis kickstarter yet. :)

I'm glad you like his backstory, although I'm a little embarrassed that Andy chose to keep all my typos in it. (my repeated misspellings of Phthalo bother me more than they should)

I really hope we reach that goal, it would be amazing if others could own a miniature of my (cockroach) homage to the late Bob Ross.

Be nice if we did – not only as an homage, but because it'll get us a war party of sentient snack cakes in the process. :)
