More to come at the weekend. Due for release in early October

Captain Cook17 Sep 2012 6:16 a.m. PST

Cracking stuff.

de Maistre17 Sep 2012 8:40 a.m. PST

Very very pretty stuff, could I possibly use some of them for the GNW?

jocknroll17 Sep 2012 11:13 a.m. PST

I would hope so. They were designed with the widest possible scope for the period 1670-1720. This includes cuirasses over coats, under coats and front plate only. Hats, helmets(both English and Continental), tricornes and bareheads. Officers with wigs on and wigs off. Pistol and sword options are included. In terms of the Eastern Theatre they are ideal. Danes and Saxons are within the frame as well as German States and of course the Imperialists/Austrians if you prefer. The Swedes had dropped the cuirass by the GNW but in the Skane Wars period I believe some cavalry still wore armour so the barehead/hat options fit well here. The next wave of 'greens' have just hit my in tray and have some beautiful additions with bandaged heads, flowing wigs and a standard lance with finials and cords. I hope to have these pix available by the weekend.

Production moulds should be commenced over the next 10 days.

Thanks for the info, looking forward to their release.

I think this is what they call a 'range' of figures. Excellent move and should be a great success.

Porkmann17 Sep 2012 11:14 p.m. PST

Very nice indeed

Captain Lumo18 Sep 2012 4:55 a.m. PST

Now these blow my skirt up.

Thanks for the comments chaps. We have reached critical mass now with the range. Sales have been very good which means there is now no doubt that we'll continue to expand the offer in a substantial way. In practical terms this means going beyond the normal code skeleton around which most ranges are built. It is the intention to get all of the basic elements available within the first 18 months. We are almost there with this now. Only mounted dragoons to go. From this base we'll expand choice in existing codes whilst bringing in the fancier stuff.

Condottiere19 Sep 2012 8:44 a.m. PST

Gorgeous figures as always.

44 different and very distinctive codes. The cornets will come with lances and finials/cords, there will be arm variants (4 for officers, 2 for trumpeters, 6 for troopers). All of the hat codes are useable with current Horse codes.

I think this about covers it… more Horse to come though!!!!

Check out the LoA website for an update on these fantastic figures. They will be available very shortly, & are really great sculpts having seen the masters last weekend.
