These two companies have some nice stuff link link Way more realistic than worldworks for a modern setting. Though i think the scale is too small for 28mm. Anyone used any of them? When you increase scale for printing is detail lost? Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Those are some nice plans. I find O scale works for 28mm and HO works with 15mm but YMMV. They include wmf files for model builder software which I highly diy recommend for paper structures. link |

O scale is 1:48, so it works great with 28mm-32mm. HO is 1:87 and works perfectly with 18mm figures. |

O scale is 1:48 in the US, which I'm sure works great with 28mm-32mm. However, O Scale in the UK is commonly 1:43.5 or 7mm to the foot, which is way too big for 28mm figures. |

UK O scale is perfect for 40mm figures. Of course almost all Wargames and model railroad buildings, trees, etc are caricatures any way. Measure some real buildings, trees, hills, etc. Now work out what size they should be to scale.nCompare this to he models you can find. The phenomenon is called "selective compression". The result is a world in which none of the landscape events are true to scale, especially in the horizontal. |

Because of this thread, I just tried the sampler of the Scalescenes.com garage. I printed out the OO scale version at 85%. I'm now utterly sold on them, at least for 15mm.
The buildings even have detailed interiors and plastic windows. Although that's hard to tell from my crappy cellphone pictures.
