A friend has just told me that he is painting a force of Terminators and Hunter-Killers from the Terminator movies.

I need to come up with a force of human resistance types. I already have a handful of Peter Pig Israeli, FFL and milita types left over from a previous project.

Can anyone make some other recommendations? A mix of military and civilian kit would be good but I dont mind a bit of head swapping or putty work. I will probably pick up a couple of PP pick up trucks. Any other ideas for vehicles? Anyone else make civilian vehicles that work for 15mm?

what is he using for hunter killers?

BigDan13 Sep 2012 9:59 a.m. PST

I can ask what he has for H/Ks, let me get back to you Jim. I think he has rebel minis terminators.

Thanks Kyoto Blue. I just checked 'em out.

For civilian vehicles check out HO scale stuff. Here is one of mine:

for resistance fighters, check out Khurasan's Sepulvedan Resistance Fighters : link

I would roll with the GZG H/Ks…

Jim, My friend is using the playmates Hunter Killer as a larger troop carrier aircraft. He has purchased a couple of other Terminator toys on EBAY but hasn't received them so isn't sure about size yet.

Art, I will pass on to him to check out the GZGs Hunter Killers too.

Captain Jake, the Sepulvedans look like a good bet. Just military enough without being "dress-right-dress". Can I ask who makes your pick up? Looks great!

I can't remember who made that truck. I got it for a couple of bucks on a model rail road webstore. I use a lot of cheap HO vehicles. The HMG in the back is either from Peter Pig or one from Batlefront (I can't remember where I got it when I was doing this project, I do have some Peter Pig recoiless rifles that also fit the truck).

Great looking figures and truck !

CPT Jake15 Sep 2012 8:43 a.m. PST

I didn't paint the figures, those are the pictures from Khurasan's web site.

I have them, they are very nice figs, but mine are still bare metal….

Playmates toys as the giant hunter killers with 15mm figures.

jimklein196615 Sep 2012 9:01 p.m. PST

Do u have any pics w the minis next to the giant H&K?

The Classy Gamer16 Sep 2012 6:33 a.m. PST

They are not very good pictures as I'm not too good with the camera and don't have a good place for pictures but here are some.

Also I'll be doing some smaller HK tanks and flyers as well but am waiting on parts to arrive.

I've a few more things in mind but am trying to work out just what I want and am looking for inspiration.

Thanks to all for the input!

CC, I don't know how you do it but you always seem to find great links, always great stuff.

Jake if you ever get to the Ft Knox or Ft. Campbell areas shoot me a note. The Iron Soviet and I are about half way between them.

Am I the only one who finds the idea of a robotic army dropship a little off?

I mean, we're talking robots here the 'dropship' role could be filled by a rail-frame with thrusters or propellers to which the skelebots could be attached via grappling hooks (eventually curled in foetal position to generate less drag) to be released on target/drop zone from 'safe' distance or parachuted/parakeeted down if there is a credible flak threat.

I'd like to see something like that.

The GZG Colonial militia figures always reminded me of the look of the resistnce from the 1st movie.

@Louie N – that thought about the GZG Colonial militia is made of win! Thanks! 8^)

Cacique Caribe18 Sep 2012 5:54 p.m. PST

Yeah.

The original Terminator Tech-Comm concept is what I would love for someone to do in 15mm one of these days, before the machines wipe us out!

Thanks for the size comp pics. What game are these going to be for?

The Classy Gamer22 Sep 2012 6:37 a.m. PST

Oh, going to be trying out some tomorrows war stuff. Want to do the asymmetrical warfare thing with just a small machine group against resistance.

Cacique Caribe16 Dec 2012 10:30 a.m. PST

Another option could be to move the Terminator visit back some 50-60 years or so:

We've also recently released resistance in helmets and in berets as well as resistance cavalry….

Fritadas16 Dec 2012 2:20 p.m. PST

The insurgents from oddzial osmy would also make great resistance troops
