Not seen this one before so hope I've not missed an earlier thread:

Thanks for that Janner, I've seen various sites like this in the past but this seems to be the latest and the best. I live very close to the battle site and visit it when I can, really worth the trip if you come up here and an interesting battle to look into.
Who does a range of these figures in 28mm?

Would Perry plastic late medievals fit the bill for this period?

Lee John Ayre13 Sep 2012 10:53 a.m. PST

I think Dixon did a Flodden range

Sheepman, Reiver Castings do a range of Scots for this battle. link

I think that some of the figs from Claymore Castings would work also, and they are really nice.

I agree with Stuart MM that the combination of the Perry WOTR Men at Arms and the Mercenaries box sets would give you most everything you need. Toss in some cannon from the Perry range and a couple of other bits here and there and you are set to go.

Thanks for the advice lads, David, I knew of the Reiver Castings range (I actually helped Rob paint them!) but they never progressed with the range and it's stagnated, shame really.
I think, (lovely though they are) that the Claymore figures are a little too early at 1388 for Flodden 1513.
But Stuarts collection is quite inspiring, trouble is I could never achieve that standard of painting!

I am putting together the armies for Flodden ready for Salute next year. My armies are a mixture of Redoubt Enterprise miniatures for English archers, the English horse and the commander figures, the Dixon Flodden range for bill, pike and standards, and the Old Glory wars of the roses range for Knights. I find reiver castings too big to mix with the others. Artillery and gunners came from Old Glory Italian wars, Irregular miniatures and Dixon.
