Speaking of WF plastic WSS conversions..
Were to receive a tricorne and (at least for some?) a backpack to conceal the details of the Amazon backplate

She shouldn't have a (North American) Indian-style backpack. It's out of period. And shouldn't the Captain be armed with a wooden stake? Ash, IIRC. Silver bullets are expensive. |

A more expensive solution would be to use only the amazon torsos with 'smooth' backplate, eliminating the need for a backpack. The cuirass can be painted as a soubreveste (a cloth false cuirass, indeed) as worn e.g. by Frederick's Gardes du Corps in indoors 'gala' dress.
With a fabric rather than metallic cuirass I suppose adding nipples (a micro-drop of glue, it works) to be perceptible through the dress to would be
too much? The only difficulty would be that such were richly decorated with embroideries (think also of the hoquetons of French Gardes de la Manche and de la Porte, of the casaques of the Mousquetaires
and it would be a challenge to paint consistently such decoration with 'free hand'; may be decals for 10mm shields (Roman, Byzantine?
) would be helpful? |
