I've a few Vexillia Italian Wars figures and need to add a few more. I've contacted Sgt Major Miniatures who have bought the range, but if they are not available, I've got a couple of options:

i) Are there other ranges that are compatible with Venexia – which are quite large for 15mm

ii) What other 15mm range would you recommend for the period?

Thanks

What ….would you recommend for the period?

Sell 'em and go 28mm!

Freikorps has a good renn range

Thanks, Condotta, looks like what I need. These will be 'true' 15mm I think?

Olicana, apart from my limited painting ability, the figures are for a competition HOTT army, and 15mm is the scale specified.

Have a look at the freikorps from QRF they are very nice.

Venexia produces very nice figures and should be in their own units as they don't match up well with some other ranges. I would also recommend Old Glory and Essex as they look great next to Venexia units on the tabletop. Museum Miniatures are OK, but very static in their poses and Tin Soldier's ranges should be avoided at all costs. Here's a previous TMP link that shows images from my Spanish tercio using Essex and Old Glory figures:

Mirliton are very close in size, but they cover the earlier period, so some figures can work if you are focussed on the earlier period of the wars.

Peter, I recommend getting a few Museum miniatures to sample the range. They are nice figures. Look at the medieval range as well for even more variety since some figure will work for the renaissance. The service is great, too.

Thanks for all the suggestions; in the end I've gone for Museum Miniatures. Sergeant Major Miniatures were really helpful, but won't have the Venexia figures in production in time for me; they do have some stock but not what I needed :(

The Museum Miniatures I went for are indeed very nice. Many thanks for the suggestions.
