Whooohoo! Koenig Krieg is now offically on the CANCON website for 2013 advertising the Brandenburg Cup, (Koenig Kriegs annual tournament here in Australia) at the Worlds in Canberra, Australia, January, 2013.

Although Italy and the USA are currently hosting a Koenig Krieg Tournament as well on the same weekend, if anybody is thinking of visiting Australia and wants to play a Koenig Krieg Tournament it would be great to see you there.

Also any Australian Koenig Krieg players going to CANCON in 2013 we would love to see you rolling some dice as well :)

Tournament details below:

The Holy Roman Empire Army lists are now available from Siege Works Studios.

You may run a HRE army at the Worlds Koenig Krieg Tournament in Canberra 2013.

Reichs Armee , you would have to be mad even Soubise thought most of them rubbish

Nadir Shah11 Sep 2012 4:27 a.m. PST

Cardinal,

As you well know, the Holy Roman Empire is not just Reichsarmee, Bavaria, Saxony Wurttemberg etc were all a part of the HRE :)

Seems to me that it is in the Cardinal's nature to open his Éminence's mouth before his devine brain is totally engaged.

"divine" I think you mean rasta person.. I imagine I have forgotten more about the Armies of the Holy Romanb Empire of the German People than you have had whatever you have had..
By the WAS, the term "The Holy Roman Empire" was all but meaning less in the military sense and to use it is more than a bit anachronistic..and your usage is therfore confusing ..by your definition you would have to include Hanover and the Brandenburg bits of Prussia.. and of course the Austrians, but not the Hungarians. I have to admit that this may not be at all relevant in the Koenig Krieg World.

Cardinal,

You certainly can use the lists to build the British allied contingents. The lists cover everything. And if you had purchased the list you would have read about Voltaire's assessment of the HRE in his essay published, 1756. Of course, since you have such a grasp of the history of this era, I will assume that you have read Voltaire – The Manner and Spirit of Nations and on the Principal Occurrences in History and that the term anachronsitic was a bit of tease as opposed to ignorance as that would be impossible since as you have said yourself "I imagine I have forgotten more about the Armies of the Holy Romanb Empire of the German People than you have had whatever you have had.."

I on the other hand acknowledge that I am just a stuttering novice, never having been to university or done any postgraduate studies in history, the classics or such things to know anything of anything. Thank you for enlightening me:)

"divine" I think you mean rasta person..

I think you will find it is Roman not Romanb Hawkwood.
Additionally I think you will find it is therefore not therfore and meaningless not meaning less.

I wont bother with the syntax, appalling punk-twashun or flow of your reply.

Surely as long as the poster has made themselves understood the point has been made.

I blame the quality of some, not all, teaching professionals myself.

Siege Works and Cardinal,
Alas I have known you both personally in past lives and know that you each possess a wealth of knowledge in the field of wargaming. Cardinal, I don't think too many would know too much more than you would about the 18th century and I know that Siege has made wargaming his life. I admire you both for your dedication to the cause. Solidarity comrades!
