"The Swedish Warship Vasa never made it out of Stockholm harbor. It sank on its maiden voyage in 1628, and nearly 400 years later, the ship is suffering a slow, inexorable decay in Sweden's Vasa Museum…."

WOW! I remember following the preservation of the Vasa in such publications as "The National Geographic" etc. when I was a kid.

Would never have known about this recent turn of events without your finding and posting this…

Me too. I recall the illustrations of the ship sinking. They really caught my attention. Everything is doomed. But we can try and delay the inevitable as long as possible. May the preservationists succeed in keeping "their baby" viable for generations to come!…
