I've been messing around with the basing of this piece for quite some time to say the least! I've had a lighter, sandy coloured base, a mid tome brown base and a greyish brown tone base- all covered with a drybrush of white to give the impression of a 'frosty' day. In the end I settled upon a very dark brwon, highlighted up to a mid brown and then I added the layers of 'white'. I'm not perfectly happy with it but I think it's the best yet and thus I a\m posting the pic here:

Anyone got an opinion on how successfull/unsuccessfull the basing was on my vignette? I'd be happy to hear from all comers
